Best Way to Install the Mount-n-Lock Heavy-Haulr RV Bumper Replacement Kit

Question:

Hello, Please see the attached photo. I currently have an OEM bumper attached to an underslung piece of tube steel welded to the frame. I am looking to replace this bumper with the MOUNT N LOCK 4inch bumper. My question is once I remove the OEM bumper can I attached the new bumper to the existing tube steel or do I have to remove the tube steel as well, purchase the extended bracket and install that way. Thank You.

Thanks for the picture! The answer to your question is entirely determined by your needs for capacity. You will not get the full ability out of the Mount-n-Lock Heavy-Haul'r RV Bumper Replacement Kit - Aluminum - 4" - 500 lbs item # MO94VR if you attach it to the drop down piece welded to your frame. You would achieve a similar capacity as to what your current bumper has by using the same installation method possibly less depending on the weight difference.

To get the full 500 lbs capacity out of the Mount-n-Lock item # MO94VR I recommend using the Mount-n-Lock AddaBumper Drop Plates for Heavy-Haul'r RV Bumper - Qty 2 item # MO84VR and attaching it directly to your frame.
