Troubleshooting A Fogatti Tankless Water Heater That Wont Function

Question:

Im only getting the temperature display. Not the rest of the display, heater, blower, shower. So, after making sure everything is hooked up right, I get the one beep only. I tried turning on the hot side at my sink, and the heater doesnt kick on.

First you'll want to ensure the the on/off switch (pictured below) on your Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR is in the "on" position.

The next step would be to check your voltage using a multimeter like # PTW2992. If you're not receiving enough voltage you may be too far from the battery and need to increase the gauge of the wire. You should have 12AWG but may need to switch to 10AWG if your wire is travelling 60 feet.

If your voltage is fine the it's time to check the gas. Fogatti places a small cap on the inside of the gas inlet so you'll need to remove that before hooking up your gas line. This is a fairly common step that gets skipped over, but is very important since the cap will prevent gas from flowing to the unit.

If the gas isn't the issue then the water pressure is the next step. You can install the Camco RV Water Pressure Regulator w/ Gauge # CAM40064 to keep the water pressure from 40 PSI to 50 PSI.

If your remote is giving you an error code then please let me know so we can pin point the issue. if you've completed all of these steps and it still is not functioning properly then please let me know and we can troubleshoot further.
