Yes, the Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator, item # K71-650, is designed to work with most electronic brake controllers including your factory installed controller, if it is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes. You will need to check with Ford to determine whether your OEM controller is compatible with electric over hydraulic braking systems.
Wiring connections for the Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator are as follows.
Yellow - Cold side of breakaway switch, The wire that goes hot when a breakaway occurs.
Black - Positive connection on breakaway switch, The wire that charges the breakaway battery.
Blue - Output from in cab controller, The wire that provides power from your brake controller.
White - Ground
You must have the yellow wire attached to the breakaway unit for it to function when a breakaway occurs.
If you find that the OEM brake controller on your truck is not compatible with electric over hydraulic braking systems, the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, item # 90885, is a compatible controller and would work well with the Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator.
