Does Skid Plate on 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD Need Permanent Removal For Front Trailer Hitch
Question:
I read somewhere that this hitch requires the skidplate on TRD’s to be removed permanently, can you confirm this? If accurate, can you recommend a front hitch that will allow me to reinstall the skidplate? Thanks!

The skid plate does need to be permanently removed on a 2015 Toyota Tacoma TRD to install the front mount trailer hitch that fits, which is the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 31313.
The reason for that is where the hitch fits relative to the skid plate on the TRD models, so there's just no way around it, unfortunately.
