Looking for a roof vent for my van. I have a roof rack that will only allow for a vent of total exterior height when closed 2.5 inches. Would like to have a fan associated to the vent. Black is preferred

Thanks for the question, I looked into some roof vents for you to check out.

**Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - 6-1/4" Diameter - Smoke # VP-543SP.
*Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Metal # V2110SP-24.

I recommend the Vanair vent, it comes in at 2-3/8 inches closed and 3-1/4 inches open. I has a built in fan and moves 100 cubic feet of air a minute. Comes with 2 year warranty.

My second option is a more traditional style with a flat metal dome. If you want this in black the metal will be easy to paint.

It has no fan however but sits at 2 inches while closed. This model itself is to short to add a fan too. I looked into it and if you want this style and a 2.5 inch height you won't be able to add a fan to it.
