Why Does Atwood RV AC Unit Run Even When Unit is Turned Off

Question:

I store my RV under cover in a building, now I cant leave the AC on because the fan never shuts off. So even on cool days when the AC would not need to turn on the fan is still running. That just doesnt make any sense. I would think when the thermo setting is in AUTO the fan would turn off.

The reason Atwood RV AC units like the Air Command part # AT15033-22 run the fan all the time is to allow the thermostat to get as accurate of a reading as possible. Keeping the air moving through the thermostat ensures that the temperature reading is the actual temperature of the RV and not just the temperature of the surrounding components of the AC unit which most likely would be slightly different.
