Replacement Water Heater Recommendation For An Atwood GCAA-8 Water Heater

Question:

Hello, i have a 2000 fleetwood terry travel trailer and the tank on the water heater went. It has a “Atwood GCAA-8” 6 gallon electric/ Lp gas. What newer model would work for this old camper? Thanks

The replacement for your Atwood GCAA-8 water heater has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however I still have a possible solution.

The Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR will work great, however if your Atwood has a larger cutout than the Dometic, you may need a trim kit to retrofit this water heater into a larger space.

This water heater has a tank capacity of 6 gallons, measures 12-3/4" tall, 12-3/4" wide, 19-7/8" deep, and has a heating capacity of 10,000 Btu.

Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency, or gas supplier.
