Recommended Tankless Water Heater

Question:

I have a 2021 heartland mallard and want to replace with one of you tankless water heaters not sure witch one will fit? Door size is 18 wide by 141/2 tall.

I prefer the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater, # EX93FR. It has electronic ignition that requires no standing pilot and the power to ignite the electronic spark module comes from two D-sized batteries not your camper's electric system. This is a vent free design that puts out 38,000 Btu.

Per the manufacturer this has to be installed upright with the vent facing upwards and, in a location, where you have decent air turnover. It is not designed as a direct replacement for any specific unit but worst-case scenario you may need some simple adapters that can be sourced locally. And this will not require you to change the existing door. This requires the inside location to have a height of at least 22-5/8" with a 17-1/4" width.

We do recommend that installation and service be performed by a qualified installer/RV Tech.
