Troubleshooting Trailer Brake Lights and Trailer Lights That Work Individually But Not When Both On
Question:
Hi, the tail lights and brake lights on my utility trailer work fine individually but when both are engaged neither of them work. I am checking it while its parked if that makes any difference, I dont see why it would but you never know. I would appreciate any insights you might have, Thanks

Since the lights are working individually on the utility trailer it sounds like some sort of input issue on your vehicle. If you have an aftermarket powered converter on your vehicle you will want to use a Test Light # PTW2992 to test the wiring at the input and output of the converter to verify the correct circuits are getting power. You can also use this tester to follow the power through the trailer connection for any other shorts that you may be experiencing.
