Will Fastway e2 Bars Fit Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Head For Keystone Passport 229RK
Question:
Can the bars from a Fastway 2 pt sway control system be used with a Fastway 4 pt head? I am thinking if I get a 4 pt head, and use the e2 bars if they would work, I will get better sway control. Since the e2 is a Equalizer line, would the Equalizer e4 be compatible with the fastway e2 bars and hardware? 229rk passport

That's an excellent question, but due to the differences in size of the bars for the two systems, the spring bars for the Fastway e2 are not compatible with the head of the Equal-i-zer, which is the four-point system like you mentioned. This has also been verified by the manufacturer for us, so if you do want that top-of-the line, four-point sway control, that would mean getting a new Equal-i-zer system.
Going from two points to four points of sway control is going to give you optimal control when towing your trailer, so if you'd like to do that, the correct Equal-i-zer for a Keystone Passport 229RK is the following:
- Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System with 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET
The # EQ37100ET is for total tongue weights between 600 lbs and 1,000 lbs, which your Passport will fall right into, and while I definitely understand it is not the answer you were looking for, it is the only way to upgrade to four points of sway control.
