On and Off Road Tire Chain Recommendations for 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with 255/70R18 Tires
Question:
Is there any restrictions on tire chain usage on my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with P255/70R18 tires. Im looking for maximum traction for snow and mud off road conditions. Where we hunt in Idaho the mud can be very slick.

We always recommend that you check the vehicles owners manual for information on the use of tire chains for specific recommendations or restrictions from the manufacturer.
For chains for on and off road use we have 3 options for tire size 255/70-18. Chain set # PWH2828SC is going to provide the least amount of traction because of the V-bar style of the links. These are also the most economical chains for on/off road use.
And for the best traction we have Pewag chains # PWE2439S that have square links. They are also a higher quality steel for long life. Because of the high quality and longevity of these chains they will cost the most out of the three options.
For any of these chain sets I also recommend using rubber adjusters # PW99 which will make fitting and tensioning the chains quicker and easier. I have included a couple of video and FAQ links on chains for you to view.
