Roof Rack For 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 SUV w/ Panoramic Roof That Allows Roof to Open

Question:

I have a 2022 GLC300 SUV with PANORAMA roof. I am looking for whatever crossbars and accessories will allow me to still open the roof with the rails attached. I have the OEM rails which I can adjust in the rear to allow opening, but the front supports protrude over the panorama roof, allowing it only to tilt, but not fully open. I have read your posts on the matter, but get confused as to which parts I need. You reference podium feet, etc. Please advise what I should order to make this work, including locks, etc. A grateful exasperated shopper looking for a solution.

We do indeed have a solution for you, as I was able to verify there is a roof rack that fits your 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 SUV that will allow you to open the panoramic roof. I have added a photo for you of a GLC 300 showing the roof open with the rack on, so you can see it will work. The rack is made by Thule, and consists of the following parts:

- Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Silver # TH711200 or Black # TH711220

- Evo Flush Rail Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH710601

- Fit Kit for Thule Evo Flush Roof Rack Feet # TH186020

- Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450400

This will be everything you need for the rack, including the locks you asked for. I did want to mention that if you have any type of accessory that mounts using clamps that go around the crossbars, I do not recommend opening the roof with that particular accessory on.

Otherwise, if you don't have anything on the rack, or if you use accessories that mount in the channels of the Thule crossbars, you can have the roof of your Mercedes open without issue.
