As far as suspension enhancement, it really depends on what you are wanting to improve on your 1992 Ford F-250 4x4. This may include rear sag and off-center balance. It also depends on whether you want a fully customizable enhancement like air bags.
If you are looking for an all-around boost to your suspension, I recommend the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit - Heavy Duty # RAS3611-HD. Not only does the RoadActive kit provide you with 3,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity, it also extends the overall life of your factory springs. The leaf spring enhancements also help when you carry heavy loads often. Once installed, the kit is maintenance-free and they are 100% made in the U.S.A. It is important to note that this kit only fits models with single-rear wheels and no factory top overload springs.
For a system with a bit more customization to it, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2071. With the Ride-Rite air bags, you have the ability to inflate the bags from 5-100 psi to suit your desired firmness. The Ride-Rites come with a 4,800 pounds of load-leveling capacity and are compatible if you happen to have top overload springs. As far as the general benefits, the Ride-Rites work to help prevent permanent vehicle sag as well prevent leaf spring friction. The air bags come with all required installation hardware. In order to make sure the brackets have enough room to install, I recommend making sure that the distance from the outside of the truck frame to the inside of the tire must is at least 7-1/2". These air bags do not work with an in-bed hitch.
If you go with the Ride-Rites, I recommend going with an in-cab compressor like the Air Lift Load Controller I Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25651 or the Bluetooth compatible Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL58WQ. Both of these compressors are dual-path, which means you can inflate each air bag independently from each other. In addition to the wireless capability of the WirelessAIR, it also provides you with continuous diagnostic reports to ensure that the air bags are running safely and efficiently. All Air Lift systems are compatible with Firestone Ride-Rite models.
