Transmission coolers are pretty universal. Since your 2011 Chevy Colorado has the 5.3L V8, I recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class IV - Efficient item # D13504. This cooler is confirmed to fit in you Colorado and is often recommended for the GM SUV's and 1500's that also use the 5.3L engine. This is a plate-and-fin cooler, which means it uses smaller plates that cover more area than other coolers in order to agitate transmission fluid. The mounting dimensions are 10-1/2" tall by either 5-1/4" or 6-3/4" wide depending on how you orientate the cooler.

According to Derale, you will need the Snap-in Fitting item # D13035. The fitting is used so you will not have to cut and flare lines yourself which can be difficult if you have never done it before. It requires a special tool to flare steel lines so a hose clamp can hold the hose on it. The snap-in simply means that you fit the hose ends over the fitting and the flared ends of it allow a clamp to hold it in place. I have linked a couple of installation videos.

You will also want the Derale Universal Bendable Metal Mount Kit item # D13002 to complete your installation. These bendable metal brackets will allow you to mount the cooler on the support brackets in front of your Colorado's radiator. I have attached a picture below of what this cooler will look like installed.
