Why Do Ark Ezi-Guides Use Boat Length Ranges for Application

Question:

Hi, Having a hard time wondering why the length of the boat is a criteria considering the 14foot - 16foot model. I would think the width would be the ultimate consideration. I have a 134inch Bost Whlr, and this item seems perfect for a trailer upgrade one of three Im thinking of in order for me to take it out by myself. So, whats the deal about boat length, please? BTW, purchased a hitch for my Promaster City awhile back took a little convincing to install holes didnt line up exactly, but it is working great! Cheers,

Length of boat typically correlates with the weight of the boat more than any other figure and it's pretty easy to determine length so that is why the Ark Ezi-Guides Self Aligning System part # AR64FR has a length range listed. This one is for 14 to 16 foot long boats, the part # AR74FR is for 16 to 20 foot boats, and # AR84FR is for 20 foot to 28 foot boats.
