Length of JR Products Propane T-Fitting 37207-30215 and Supply Hose For Grill
Question:
What is the overall length of this JR Products propane fitting 37207-30215? I have a travel trailer with dual propane tanks with a switching regulator. I wanted to add a fitting to one of my tanks so I can supply unregulated propane to a grill with regulator for cooking outside the camper. I would like to attach this fitting directly to my tank and attach the other end of the fitting to my existing acme propane pigtail but I am wondering if I have enough horizontal space to do this, and will that additional length created by adding the fitting need some type of mechanical support? Why do you not recommend a latern not be connected to this setup? Thank You

Expert Reply:
The Propane T-Fitting # 37207-30215 has an overall length of 4-3/4". You will not need any additional support when using this T-fitting in conjunction of your propane tank and pigtail for your regulator. The MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Hose # 100284-144-MBS is 12' long and will connect the T-fitting with a grill that has a connection for the 1lb throwaway propane tanks.
The adapter and hose is not recommended for a lantern as the lantern uses the 1lb tank as its stand. While some lanterns can be hung by the handle the hose can create a safety issue as well if it began to leak while connected to the lantern.
