Can I Carry My 70 Lbs E-Bike On Swagman Original 4, If Not, What Do You Recommend
Question:
Are their available threaded s for this bottom plate? Only the rearward bolt has a place to thread into. I would happily buy 3 new bolts and handles if I could restore that part of the system. I haul a heavy ebike which is about 70 lbs. The rest of the system looks strong enough for the job.

I do have a solution for you. I recommend a platform hitch rack, you will not have to lift your e-bike quite as high to load it on this type of rack. I am partial to the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # HLY84FR. The Sport Rider SE can carry bikes up to 80 lbs and bikes with tires up to 5" in width.
I spoke with Swagman about the Swagman Original 4 Bike Towing Rack for 2" Trailer Hitches - Tilting, part # S64675. This rack has a weight limit of 35 lbs per bike and those weights cannot be combined. The new version of this rack has a bottom plate that is part of the rack, so it cannot be removed. This rack is compatible with a M10-1.50" bolt and the bolt fits the Replacement Locking Knob for Swagman Original and XP Series Bike Carriers - 2009 and Newer, part # P1040.
I have included product description links and a video review link below.
