Can SUP Be Carried in Upright Position
Question:
Im look for a way to mount an SUP on my roof cross bars in an upright fashion. I see rhino rack has the nautic stack. Would these work as is? Would they work with some load stops? I have factory installed Subaru cross bars

While we do have SUP carriers that I'm more than happy to recommend, you only want to transport your SUP in a flat position as the upright position could potentially damage it.
With that being said, I recommend using a carrier like the Thule Compass # TH890000 because it will be easier to offset on your crossbars than one of the carriers that takes up more mounting space. Depending on the size of your bars and the size of your SUP you may be able to fit more on your roof this way. To mount the SUP you will lower that middle mast all the way so the SUP is resting on both sets of cradles.
