Is It Okay for Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack to Tilt Back Towards Vehicle
Question:
I have installed the carrier on my 2016 chevy silverado 2500hd duramax and it seems to cause the bikes to tilt at about 10 degree angle towards the tailgate. Will this cause undo stress on the y36fr? Bikes are both Radrunners about 55 lbs without batteries.

The Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # Y36FR is actually designed to be tilted towards the vehicle a little once installed. This is partly to compensate for the weight of the bike(s) weighing it down and partly to make sure the vehicle it's installed on has enough ground clearance (think of this being installed on a minivan that sits MUCH closer to the ground).
If you check out the photo I attached and the review video you'll see what I mean - what you're experiencing is perfectly normal.
