To determine if you will have enough room to install larger tires, you will want to determine how much space you have available with your current tires. A 245/75-15 tire will have a width of approximately 9-5/8 inches and an overall diameter of 30-1/2 inches.

This tire size will be about 1 inches taller than the 7.00-15 tires and about 2 inches taller than the 235/75-15 tires. They will also be wider than the 7.00-15 tires by about 2-5/8 inches and wider than the 235/75-15 tire by about 1/2 inch.

You will want at least an inch between the inside wall of the tire and the closest part of the trailer and at least a few inches between the tires from each axle. You will also want enough clearance from the fenders or the underside of the trailer to the top of the tires.

At this time we do not offer tire size 245/75-16, however, the Kenda Karrier ST235/80R16 Tire and Wheel Combo that you referenced will be very close to that size. This combo is also offered with a steel wheel as part # AM34903. These combos have a maximum load capacity of 3,500 lbs at 90 psi and fit hubs with an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern.

No matter what size you choose, I strongly recommend replacing all of the tires on the trailer with the same size. Using tires that are the same size will improve tracking and wear on the tires. It is also important to choose a tires that matches or exceeds the weight capacity of the axle. Keep in mind that choosing tires with a weight capacity greater than the trailer axle will not increase the load carrying capacity of the trailer.
