Use of Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan in Partially Open Position of Vent Lid
Question:
Does the tinted vent roof have a minimum height it opens to when you open with remote? The older models would rise a minimum of about 4 to 4.5 inches. I want to control the exact rise.

The Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Remote - Powered Lift, # FV807350 has a knob on vent housing allowing it to be operated by hand in case of power failure and this also allows for manual positioning. Opening with the remote will cause the vent lid to go to a fully open or a fully closed position. Per the Tech at Dometic, for a partially open position, you will need to use the remote to open the vent lid then retract to your desired positioning using the hand crank knob.
The older models you refer to had a "ceiling fan" mode that allowed the fan to be used when in the fully closed position, this feature is not present in the newer models.
