Base plate kits for your 2000 Jeep Wrangler like the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1120 you were looking at are going to bolt to the chassis and will come out just below the bumper. With your Jeep being lifted you will need to use a high low adapter in order to get your tow set-up within 3" of level. I have attached a help article that goes over how to determine what size high low adapter you need. I also linked our selection of high low adapters so that you can select the size that you need after measuring.
Other than the base plate kit and high low adapter you will need at least 4 other main parts. A tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring and a supplemental braking system. I have included a recommendation for each part, as well as a brief description of its purpose.
Tow Bar: This is what will come from the motorhome and attach to the base plate kit on your Jeep. I recommend the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380. This tow bar is compatible with the # BX1120 base plate you were looking at and also includes the safety cables.
Tow Bar Wiring: This is what is going to allow you to use your Jeep Wrangler's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267.
Supplemental Braking System: This is going to be what allows you to travel with and safely stop your Jeep. I recommend the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR.This will give you an automatic, proportional braking system that never has to be removed, replaced, or reset. You will also need the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.
