Determining The Correct MORryde StepAbove RV Steps For A Travel Trailer

Question:

I recently had a set of steps quoted for my travel trailer. The RV repair facility looked up and quoted me Moryde 04-0251. The installation was fairly expensive and I decided that I would install them myself. For some reason I cannot find this set of steps at Etrailer. I want to make sure that I order the right parts. Can you help me with this. Thank you,

I spoke with MORryde and they stated the item number you were given does not match anything they have. Possibly it's the item number that the RV shop uses instead of the manufacturer number?

Based on your photos it appears to me that you have a 29.5" door width and 33.5" entry height you'll need the MORryde StepAbove RV Steps # MR68RR. These steps are compatible with a door width of 27-3/4" to 30-1/4" and an entry height of 30" to 33-1/2", so you'll fall within these requirements.

Looking at the pictures you provided you do have a 3/8" clearance between the threshold and the door to ensure the hinge plate will not block the door. The only thing else you would want to check is the the height of threshold from the floor on the inside of the trailer to ensure you have 5/8 - 3/4" for the hinge to sit correctly without angling the hinge plate up, interfering with the bottom of the door.
