do I need any more parts for a new install? on a RV? Solera XL RV Window Awning Fabric and Roller - 66 Wide - 30 Projection - Sand Fade - LCV000335369 Does it lock in place during traveling?

That's a great question.
If you are going to get the Solera XL RV Window Awning Fabric and Roller - 66" Wide - 30" Projection - Sand Fade
# LCV000335369 you will need the Solera XL Window Awning Support Arms for RVs with 32" For Taller Windows - Black # LCV000334764.
The support arms will come with their own hardware you need to install them.
This unit does act like a standard manual awning and it does have tension on both arms. It has a pull strap that you will use to open the window awning and the strap has a bracket that it will hook to to keep it open.
When you a ready to close the unit you remove the strap, keep holding it, and slowly let the awning arm retract.
It will remain in place while driving due to the tension of the arm.
