Roof Cargo Box Recommendation for a 2012 Subaru Forester for Skis and Kayak
Question:
Which of the thule cargo boxes will fit on my 2012 subaru forester. I have factory siderails plus the thule square crossbar system. My skis are 170 cm. I like skinnier boxes so can fit a kayak beside. Also not too tall so can fit in garage. Plan to travel at hwy speeds 80 mph/120 km for several thousand kilometers. I need my tailgate to open fully. If thule doesnt have one does yakima ?

I checked with Thule and the large and extra large Thule cargo boxes are confirmed to fit your Subaru Forester. The Thule Pulse Rooftop Cargo Box # TH614 that you referenced is a large so it should fit just fine. This cargo box is 32-1/2 inches wide
Another option you have is the Thule # TH6358B. This measures 82-3/4" long x 33-3/4" wide x 17-1/4" tall.
