I have a 98 gmc suburban. Will the tekonsha prodigy p2 and the ETBC7 kit work for me?

Yes! The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 works with the # ETBC7 on your 1998 Chevy Suburban. However, in order to install the # ETBC7 to prep the vehicle for the brake controller, you need a 4-way wiring harness installed before installing the # ETBC7.
If you need a 4-way wiring harness, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55319. This harness conforms to the combined wiring system on your vehicle. This means that the brake and turn signals are sent along the same wire. It connects quickly and easily and does not include not include cutting or splicing.
