1-1/4 Trailer Hitch And Hitch Bike Recommendation For 2014 Chevrolet Impala Carrying An E-Bike
Question:
I have a 2014 Chevy Impala Limited. I need a frame hitch and bike carrier to carry heavy E-Bike. 2 bike carrier. 4.0 tires. Prefer 2 hitch and carrier but will settle for 1 1/4. Can you help?

I do have a trailer hitch solution for you, Unfortunately, it will be an 1-1/4" trailer hitch. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4", part # C12252, is my recommended trailer hitch. It has a maximum tongue weight of 350 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs, which is more than our other options.
I prefer the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # TH903202, when compared to the Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount, part # SA4025F, you attached to your question. The EasyFold comes with a ramp and it has a weight limit of 65 lbs. Not the 60 lbs the SuperClamp has.
I have included product description links, a video of this trailer hitch being installed on a 2012 Chevrolet Impala, and video demo links below.
