Troubleshooting Check Trailer Wiring Error Code of 2016 Chevy Siilverado 2500HD
Question:
I have a message that comes up on the driver’s info screen that says to check trailer wiring. 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500hd with tow package. I have 2 of these trucks and same message comes up with both truck’s. Thanks

This issue is almost always corrosion or dirt on the trailer wiring connectors that just needs to be cleaned off with sandpaper. Most likely it's on the ground circuit but try cleaning all of the pins.
