Using Optronics # TLL9RK Trailer Light Kit on Trailer Towed by 2005 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I recently purchased these lights and when I opened them up I found out I needed a turn signal converter since my truck has seperate blinkers. My question is can you point me out the right converter so my truck works with these lights? Also, the wiring for the truck that came with the lights did not come with the plug that matches my Tacoma outlet. Can you also show me the proper plug so it will work? Thank you.

The # TLL9RK kit you mentioned is designed to be used to replace rear stop/turn/ taillights and the wiring on a small trailer. The kit features a 4-pole flat trailer connector designed for use with a 4-pole connector installed on a vehicle.
If your Tacoma has a factory installed 4-pole connector, it should be converted already. If not, the Curt # C55513 trailer wiring harness would be a plug and play option that would plug inline with the factory connections behind the drivers and passenger side taillight assemblies on your truck. I have linked you to the installation instructions related to the wiring harness.
If you could provide a photo or description of the existing connector on your Tacoma, I would be happy to recommend the correct adapter compatible with the light kit. You could send the photo as an email attachment to the email address this is sent from.
