could you help me find a rooftop cargo carrier clam shell that would fit a 2021 Toyota RAV4 4 easy to install by one person in the 18 cubic feet range and is quiet. Thanks so much

For your application I recommend going with the Thule Force XT XL Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Black AeroSkin # TH6358B. I really like the Black AeroSkin as it looks similar to matte black so it will match up with any black trim on your 2021 Toyota RAV4. As far as quiet goes you honestly won't see much difference between any of the boxes. This does have an aero-style to it but in reality you're slapping a big object on your roof right where you're going to see a lot of wind.

When it comes to loading/unloading a cargo box with 1 person I recommend using a lift system like the Thule MultiLift Cargo Lift and Storage System # TH572. This installs on the ceiling in your garage so all you have to do is pull in, route the straps, loosen the mounting clamps, and then lift the box using the hoist. You could probably muscle this box on top of your vehicle but with just 1 person it will be difficult to do so without scratching your RAV4 - this is the same case with any large 18 cu ft box.
