Can Swagman XC2 Bike Rack Fit with Tires Wider Than 2.5 Inches

Question:

Do you think 2.6 inch tires would fit even though it says 2.5 max?

To get anything larger than 2.5" to fit the Swagman XC2 Bike Rack # S64650 cradles you'll have to remove air from the tires. If you don't mind doing that and you have a pump to get them back to where they need to be once you reach your destination then go for it but I recommend just going with a different bike rack so you don't have to play games with your bikes and you can get to biking moments after you park.

For your application I recommend going with the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR. This little guy is one of our most underestimated bike racks in my opinion. It's designed to fit most standard bikes with up to 3" wide tires and while it isn't the fanciest thing we have, the basics are there and it's pretty lightweight so I have no issues ever recommending this rack. The Destination comes with a lock for the rack and then you can wrap a cable lock # e98891 around your bikes and rack to help deter theft that way as well.
