Recommended Upgraded Weight Distribution Hitch for Forest River Wolf Pup 16FQ
Question:
I have a 2019 Chevy Colorado 4wd v6 crew cab short bed pulling a 2021 Cherokee Wolfpup 16fq running about 3400 lbs loaded. I have an Eaz 1000 wdh with sway bar. On a recent trip I got to my destination to find the plate on the trailer holding sway bar mount was minus 2 screws looks like they pulled out and the plate was bent 90 degrees. The bar was still attached on hitch end but hanging free on trailer end. I have never backed up with it attached. Wondering if there is a better model wdh with sway bar I should use? Bit leary of this one now. Thank you.

In regards to weight distribution, the models with integrated sway control are much better and easier to use than the models with a separate friction sway control like EAZ Lift. For an upgrade, I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control part # FA92-00-0800 which is one of the best bang for your buck systems on the market. It preforms very well and is much easier to setup than the chain style with friction sway bar. There are no modifications required on the trailer.
