Handlebar Clearance When Using Ladder Mounted Surco 2 Bike Carrier on RV
Question:
None of the pictures shows the handlebars. Worried about clearance between RV and Handlebars.

Expert Reply:
I spoke with my contact at Surco and they told me that there have been no issues they are aware of with clearance between the RV and the handlebars. The clearance distance will vary, depending on the clearance between the ladder and the back of your RV. The Surco 2 Bike Carrier, part # SP501BR, you referenced, does feature adjustable cradles which may allow you the ability to move a bike away from the back of the RV. Please keep in mind that the weight on the carrier should be evenly distributed, so you do not have too much weight on the outer part of the support arms.
