Is the Kuat Beta Easy to Install and Remove
Question:
I am interested in: Kuat Beta - Folding 2 Bike Aluminum Rack for 1-1/4 Trailer Hitches - Gunmetal Gray Item # B202-114 I watched the video but I wonder how easy it is to remove the whole rack from the hitch. Is it held on with a pin that I can easily remove and/or unscrew a screw? I dont want to have to climb under my car or have special equipment to remove a tight bolt when I want to take off my rack. Thank you.

The anti-rattle device for the Kuat Beta - Folding 2 Bike Aluminum Rack for 1-1/4" Trailer Hitches # B202-114 is located at the rearmost end of the shank so it will be easy to get at and release the tension of the rack in the hitch receiver (see attached). The hitch pin itself is a pin with a simple clip and is really just a safety feature to further ensure the rack doesn't dislodge from the receiver (although the anti-rattle itself should be able to keep that from happening).
If you wanted to add a lock to help deter theft then you can use the kit # HL1 for a non-threaded hitch pin (since it has the built-in anti-rattle) and then you can use a cable like the etrailer # e98891 to deter theft of the bikes.
If you jump to the 3:09 minute mark of the linked review video you'll see how the rack installs. To remove it you'll simply reverse those steps.
