How To Fix Trailer Battery Draining Vehicle Battery
Question:
Trailer is pulling to much power for my van. Would getting a bigger battery fix the issue?

It sounds like you have an issue with the trailer battery draining the vehicle battery and in which case you would just need a smart device that better manages what power you have. For example, you should only be charging the trailer battery while you are getting a charge from the alternator to the vehicle battery. In order to ensure this happens you can use the Redarc Smart Start Battery Isolator with Wiring Kit part # 331-SBI12KIT which will also shut power off to the trailer battery when the vehicle battery gets low.
I don't recommend a bigger battery for the vehicle as you will still be limited by the alternator, you just need to make better use of the power you have or reevaluate your needs.
