Since I do not know what VanRug mat you are referring to, I will be happy to describe all of our available mats for you! For all of our available cargo mats that fit your 2003 GMC Savana Van, the fitment depends on if you have the standard wheelbase or the extended wheelbase. The fits are grouped into these two categories.

If you have the standard wheelbase model, here are our compatible cargo mats:

- VanRug Custom Floor Mat for Cargo Vans - Charcoal Gray - Carpet # VRG96
- VanTred Custom Floor Mat for Cargo Vans - Black - Thermoplastic # VTRG96

All of these models of mats are customized to fit the particular contours of your van's rear cargo area. While the # VRG96 is constructed of carpet, the # VTRG96 are constructed of thermoplastic. If you are looking for optimal resistance against water, oil, or other liquids, I recommend going with the # VTRG96.

With the VanTred, you get more repelling power than the carpeted # VRG96. It is also much easier to clean. This mat has the advantage over the Not only do you get the benefit of repelling liquids, you also receive the BedRug's lifetime warranty of the mat. It is important to note that this mat is sized for models with the Wall System along side walls. If your van has bare walls with exposed ribs, mat only extends to the ribs and so there will be a small gap along the side walls between those ribs.

If you have the extended wheelbase model, here are the compatible mats we carry:

- VanRug Custom Floor Mat for Cargo Vans - Charcoal Gray - Carpet # VRG96X
- VanTred Custom Floor Mat for Cargo Vans - Black - Thermoplastic # VTRG96X

For the benefits listed previously, I recommend the # VTRG96X if you have the extended wheelbase model. With this mat, there will be a small gap along the side walls if you have bare walls with exposed ribs on your van.
