Weight Distribution System Recommendation for Towing 2017 Rockwood Mini Lite 2502KS
Question:
Hi Folks, I have a 2017 Rockwood Mini Lite 2502KS travel trailer. The Gross weight is about 6000 lbs, and the dry hitch weight is about 500 lbs. I dont know how accurate those numbers are. You information says that too much hitch will result in a stiff ride and possibly cause the trailer to bounce. I dont want that, but I am, like all travel trailer owners, considering getting a larger trailer and dont want to then have to then buy a heavier hitch. Besides, I always tend to overdue things... Ill also be buying the extended shank so that I can fully open my tailgate... All things considered, what would you suggest?

The Equal-i-zer systems are widely considered to be the best weight distribution systems so that would be the brand I would lean towards for you. Since your current tongue weight is 500 lbs I would recommend the part # EQ37060ET. Later down the road if you end up with a heavier trailer you can always just go with higher rated spring bars and head and you'd be set.
