How Can I Use Upgrade the PD4045KA to Use Lithium Batteries?

Question:

I currently have a PD4045KA in my 2014 Camp-lite travel trailer. I have been using lead-acid batteries. However, the battery needs to be replaced and I am strongly considering lithium batteries. My PD4045KA does not appear to support Lithium entirely, so I am considering the purchase of a new PD4045KV through E-trailer. - The lithium batteries suggest a charge voltage of 14.4 volts, but will disable charging if there is an overvoltage of 14.7v perhaps lower, if the battery has been discharged. The PD4045KA, in “Lithium mode” with the Wizard disabled, provides 14.6 volts. This seems too close for comfort… can the 14.6 voltage be adjusted downward? - When in “Lithium mode”, does the voltage remain at 14.6v all the time? Or does it ever down to a normal voltage e.g., 13.6v?

The # PD4045KA is a single stage charger of 14.6 VDC and does not allow for adjustment. If you want a 2-stage lithium charge, you need to go with the stand-alone deck mount style # PD9145ALV and remove the existing Printed Circuit Board in your # PD4045KA power center and route cables into it from the deck mount to have 2-stage lithium charging capabilities. As of this time, we unfortunately do not offer a 2-stage power center.
