Replacement Spring Bars for a Blue Ox Sway Pro Weight Distribution System
Question:
I have a Blue Ox sway pro that I need to purchase load bars for. I am looking at a new trailer with a 635lb tongue weight. In the future I plan to purchase the bike rack that mounts to the tongue. So that would add additional weight. Im wondering which weight rating load bars I should go with?

Expert Reply:
The load bars that you would want would be the Replacement Spring Bars for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System # BXW4006 which are for tongue weights between 550 lbs. and 750 lbs.
The Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers # LC429756 which is the style of bike carrier I think you are talking about weighs 25 lbs. with a weight capacity of 80 lbs. So you would be adding 105 lbs. (at maximum capacities) to the 635 lbs. of tongue weight your trailer has, which puts you at 740 lbs. which is 10 lbs. under the # BXW4006 range.
