Recommended SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps for Doorway With of 28"
Question:
I have a camper that has a 28” wide door opening and a 36 1/2” entry height. I am looking for better steps and found LC791574. According to the chart on your website this is the step for the door size I have but the step width is only 20”. I feel like 20” wide is narrow for the door size and I read reviews that said the same thing. I was wondering if the LC791575 step that has 24” wide steps would work. What is the total width of the step assembly and can I make it work with a 28” door? If I’m spending the money I would like to have as wide of steps as possible. Any help on this issue would be appreciated. Thank you.

The SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps, # LC791575 is for doorways that at least 29" in width. This will not fit your RV if you have a 28" wide door.
For a 28" wide doorway, the correct part is SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps, # LC791574 for 25" to 28-7/8" RV Door Frames. Please keep in mind that the step itself is 20" wide as measured on the inside, that is not the overall width of the entire component.
