Solution For Sway Control While Triple Towing Travel Trailer and Boat Trailer

Question:

Pull a 17 ft single axle boat behind a 27 ft fifth wheel travel trailer 3/4 ton truck with Anderson goose neck hitch. Suggestion on sway control for the boat. No brakes on the trailer but I could add them.

I do have one possible solution for you, but it will depend on your trailer. For sway control you could use the Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems # 17200 along with the Reese Sway-Control Bracket for 2" Ball Mounts - Class III and IV # RP26003.

The only issue is that this sway control bar is designed to attach to an A-Frame. More than likely you have a pole tongue on your boat trailer so you would have to come up with some kind of bracket/adapter to attach it. Curt said this would work but you will need to be careful because doing this will likely cause clearance issues which could result in the travel trailer or boat trailer being damaged.
