Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch and Sidewinder Pin Box for 2014 Ram 2500 With Ram Box
Question:
Hello I need help and part numbers for a 5th wheel setup. Someone thats not crazy loud and good for long tows I have a 2014 ram 2500 with the mega cab and rambox I would need the 5th wheel and rail kit with mounts I also need the sidewinder but not sure of my pin boxnumber and I have a 08 kz sportsman sportster 35 foot really worried about hitting my cab corners really hope you guys can help!

First off, to find the correct Sidewinder you need to identify the manufacturer and model number of the currently installed pin box. This will need to be matched to the correct replacement Sidewinder. Example, the # RP34FR fits for a replacement of the Lippert 0719, 1621 and 1621HD, Fabex 663 and 665, M&M 663 and 665, along with Lippert 1716, 1116, and 0115 pin boxes, though the Lippert 1716, 1116, and 0115 pin boxes do require the Spacer Kit # RP97FR.
For a 5h wheel option for your 2014 Ram 2500, I recommend the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # BWRVK3200 for a 16K unit, or part number # BWRVK3255 for an 18K option. Either of these will be installed using the B&W Custom Installation Kit with Base Rails, # BWRVK2602.
To use this hitch with a Sidewinder you will need the Sidewinder Wedge Kit for B&W, Demco, and Husky Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP74FR.
For a 5th wheel wiring harness the correct part for your 2014 Ram 2500 is the Pollak 5th Wheel / Gooseneck T-Connector with 7-Pole # PK11893-11932.
