For a trailer with the weight you mentioned it would be a great idea to use weight distribution with your 2011 Honda Pilot. The best kit would be the Reese Strait Line part # RP66082 which has a tongue weight rating of 200-600 lbs and features best sway control at fight sway before it starts.
