Solution For A Motorhome That Is Sitting Too High Above Towed Vehicle While Flat Towing
Question:
Hello, I have a 2017 Ford Edge and a 35ft motorhome. I bought a 6inch hitch to meet the Roadmaster tow requirements, and I have found that the hitch drags on most sidewalk ramps. Is there a bracket, or plate between the spreader bar and the bars that latch into the dingy, that I can purchase that raises the spreader bar to the appropriate? Thank you

If your motorhome is too high for your 2017 Ford Edge, you're going to need to use a high-low adapter like the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars # RM-076.
This is designed specifically to make up for the height difference between your RV and your towed vehicle. This particular adapter has 6" of rise, and 6" of drop.
I have attached a FAQ detailing how you can measure the correct rise and drop you need for your 2017 Ford Edge.
