Troubleshooting Kwikee Steps With Controller 909506000 Opening and Closing On Their Own
Question:
Kwikee PN 909506000 I have the above Kwikee step and have noticed its opening and closing on its own. Sometimes all the way open and closed, sometimes only partially. It does this with the door open or closed. Any ideas? Thank you in advance

It sounds like you may have either a bad switch, wiring or control unit on your Kwikee steps. The Kwikee PN 90950600 is for an older control unit and does not identify your steps. The Replacement Control Unit # LC379606 is the correct one if you determine that the controller is the issue.
You will need to test your door switch and wiring for any intermittent signal issues. Be sure to check all the wiring for visible damage and I find it best to start with the ground wires as intermittent issues are generally with the ground wires not making good contact.
