Do You Need To Modify The Exhaust To Install A Rear Anti Sway Bar On A 2012 Winnebago Via Model T
Question:
I have a Winnebago Via 2012 model T. I find a comment by Mack on the 11/21/2013. He said, he had to shorten the exhaust. After that, he did an other comments, then he was not sure he had to shorten the exhaust. So, I want to know, if you have other information about this subjet. The question is, Do I will have to modify or not the exhaust for my RV. My Winnebago is on a chassis Mercedes Sprinter 2012, 3500. Thank you. Gilles

I checked with RoadMaster about your valid concern and great question.
My contact tells me Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1209-131 is a confirmed fit for your 2012 Mercedes Sprinter. This product is engineered to avoid interference with most popular aftermarket add-ons and accessories.
However, Minor modifications are sometimes necessary due to slight vehicle variations, even for the same year, make and model.
If running changes were made by the manufacturer after this kit was designed, there may be weldments, braces, gussets, or other structural items which interfere with the installation. It is the installer’s responsibility to allow for these running changes without sacrificing the structural integrity of the anti-sway bar. Failure to
securely fasten the anti-sway bar could result in death, injury or property damage.
I feel like if you do not have any after market products, fabrications or alterations you will be fine and will not need to modify your exhaust.
