Recommended Tankless RV Water Heater For Use In Below Freezing Conditions

Question:

I have been thinking about trading the water heater to an on demand /thankless heater. Is there one that would be compatible? Also we use in temperatures below freezing several times a year. If we leave the hot water trickling, will it keep the unit from freezing?

To be able to use a tankless water heater in below-freezing conditions you would need the Excel RV Tankless On-Demand Water Heater # EX93FR and would need to install it somewhere inside your RV that will be heated.

The body of the Excel RV Tankless On-Demand Water Heater # EX93FR is actually 14-5/8" tall with the optional louver being an additional 4.5" tall. Because of the vent free design this heater can be placed anywhere besides a bathroom or bedroom so you can place it inside of a kitchen cabinet, if needed. It just requires 3" of clearance on the sides and 8" of clearance above.

I actually just watched a video from someone who had theirs installed in a cabinet by cutting the shelf and mounting it to the back wall of the cabinet so that it was completely out of the way. He stated he had been using his for seven years already and had no issues with airflow.

I've attached a video below where Jeff will go over some of the features of this unit and will show you it's dimensions.
