Thule Crossbar Length For 2015 Jeep Cherokee w/ Raised Rails For Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier
Question:
I am looking to purchase the Thule Hullavator Pro kayak carrier. I have a 2015 jeep cherokee trailhawk with factory installed front-to-back rails. No cross bars are installed. The hullavator says they need 4-8 inches of overhang on each side of the clamps/feet. What length Thule wingbar evo bars do I need to accomplish this? 53 inches? or longer? Thank you for your help.

Good question, and I went ahead and check with Thule for you, and the correct crossbar size to mount the Hullavator on your 2015 Jeep Cherokee with raised side rails is indeed 53 inches like you said. So here is exactly what you'll need for your Jeep:
- Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - 53" Long - Silver # TH711400 or Black # TH711420
- Evo Raised Rail Feet # TH710401
- Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs # TH898
This is going to give you the nicest possible set up for a roof rack and kayak carrier for your Cherokee. The roof rack is strong, quiet, and easy to install, and the Hullavator makes loading a kayak nearly effortless. The only other thing you may want to consider are locks, the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450400.
