How to Weigh a Tandem Axle Trailer
Question:
I’ve heard that you can use a jack and this scale under each axle next to the tire average the two weights on each side and add the averages together plus the hitch weight. Does that sound correct? Basically, use this scale to weigh entire trailer. Hope this would work. Am i right or totally wrong? Thanks!

The best way to measure the weight of your tandem axle trailer is to use a commercial scale. You will be able to find one at a truck stop, quarry or material supply center. For a small fee, you can weigh your tow vehicle and trailer there. I would not recommend using the # e99044 to attempt to weigh your trailer. Depending on your trailer you risk exceeding the capacity of the scale and may also cause dangerous conditions.
Realistically you should be able to find the dry weight and GVWR of your trailer from the manufacturer or by looking it up online. If you know the unloaded weight you can take a guess at the weight of your trailer based on what you load into it.
