What Tips do You Have for Installing the # TC1547 on My 2013 Volkswagen GTI?
Question:
I just purchased TC1547 Titan Diamond Pattern Chains for my 2013 VW GTi all stock. Any tips to pass along for installation? Im thinking Ill need to jack up the car to get them on because I cant reach to the back of the tire with the amount of clearance between the tire and wheel arch. Wanted to check with the experts.

If you find that you have limited wheel well clearance on your 2013 Volkswagen GTI, you do not need to jack up the car to install the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tires # TC1547. It may be a really tight fit, but the first step you need to do is to lay the chains flat and attach the inner-wall cable on the inside of the tire first just like our installer does on the attached video. One tip you can do is place the cables between your thumb and pointer on each hand and place your hands flat into the wheel wells (instead of making a fist to hold the cable). In the video, the chains are being installed on a 2013 Ford Focus with very limited wheel well clearance. That will be the tightest part of the process for your GTI. Once the inner cable is attached, you simply drape the front of the chains over the tire and make the appropriate connections.
